Let It Ride Poker is a fusion of blackjack and poker and was part of the new wave of casino games in the 1990s. The game, like most traditional poker games, relies on the ranking of five cards. However, there is one peculiarity about this poker variation of Five Card Stud: If players don’t like their cards, they may choose to reduce their bets.

Bet on Let It Ride Poker

The fun thing about Let It Ride Poker is that you can place your bet before you see your hand. Players must place 3 equal bets on the table. Players place bets on the table using the symbols 1, 2 and $. Try not to take too many risks because it’s a gamble from the beginning of the game! Unless, of course, you’re feeling lucky!

At the casino, Let It Ride Poker may have a minimum bet, usually around $5.

Remember that in this version of poker you can withdraw two bets (1 and 2) during the game, but you cannot withdraw the third bet – the one on the $ symbol.

Three card rewards

In addition to the standard Let It Ride bet, you can also choose to place a three-card bonus bet. This bonus can be paid out if you have a pair or higher. However, keep in mind that three card bonuses may vary depending on which casino you play at.

How does Let It Ride poker deal cards?

Of course, as with any other poker game, it’s important to start by dealing the cards correctly. This poker game uses a standard 52-card deck.

After thoroughly shuffling the deck, the dealer deals three cards face down to each player. Then, instead of three, two cards are placed face down in front of the dealer. These two cards are community cards.

At this stage of the game, after placing bets, all players can view their cards but must keep them secret from other players, just like Texas hold’em.

How to Play Let It Drive Poker

Now that all players have seen the three cards in their hands, the game begins!

If the player to the dealer’s left doesn’t like his hand, he will first withdraw one of his bets. To do this, take back the chips you placed on your first bet. On the other hand, if you are fairly confident in your hand, you can just “go with the flow”!

In this poker variant, remember that you are not competing against other players, nor against the dealer – you just need to make sure you have a good hand.

Once all players have had a chance to withdraw their bets or let it run, it’s time to reveal one of the community cards! The dealer turns over the card on the left and shows it to all players. This card is now part of all players’ hands

Quit or let it ride again

After seeing the first community card, you can withdraw one of your bets again (but you should always make sure there is at least a third bet!) or let it continue. Start with the player to the left of the dealer. If you’re not confident in your hand, you should take one of your bets back, but if you’re confident, go for it!

Even if you let it run on the first round, you can still withdraw one of your bets after flipping one of the community cards.

Flip over the second community card and place your hand on the table. This completes each player’s 5-card poker hand, consisting of the 3 cards in the hand and the 2 up cards. Remember the poker hand rankings above!
